ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Breana Turner 

Hi there, my name is Breana Turner, and I am the founder of Sisters with Ambition.  After thinking about the challenges I faced and overcame as a pre-teen and teen, I took a leap of faith.  In 2016, I founded Sisters with Ambition at 19 years old. As a firm believer in the quote “empowered women, empower women,” I always knew I would impact the next generation of women leaders in an impactful and significant way.

Through creating original material, mentoring, and using the knowledge I am learning as I pursue a Master of Public Health Studies, I have been able to cultivate confidence in young women through the Sisters with Ambition mentoring program. I continue to spread the message and importance of Sisters with Ambition and women’s and girl’s empowerment through speaking engagements at women’s and girl’s conferences, workshops, and with my involvement in the Miss America Organization.  

I enjoy challenging the mentees within the Sisters with Ambition program, and I always emphasize that they never have to conform or fit into society’s standards of what a woman should be. As an empowered woman, my mission is to empower as many young women as possible to be the best versions of themselves.
